My goals for Spring 2009

So the scary last semester is here. Time to wrap up my portfolio before I get sent into the big pool. As I stated in class and in my previous blog, I'd like to focus on packaging and/or music (which is mostly packaging as well, so it'll probably work out for my portfolio).

I'll probably be looking here alot after checking out the link from digourblogs, as well as checking out other packaging in stores: http://www.thecoolhunter.net/design/The-Power-of-The-Box---Powerful-Packaging-Design/

Some thoughts to consider when doing my projects for this semester:

- Think of the unexpected

- Think of something inspirational when doing a package for a certain item

- What materials move you?

- Don't be afraid to get messy (as in not too clean and static, which happened in alot of projects)

- Work more on type in some cases

- Be more experimental

If I think of something else, I'll edit. This is too keep my head up when I'm stuck.
